NOMEX paper wrapped conductor is the special winding wire for dry-type transformers. It has high dielectric strength, mechanical tenacity, softness and back elastic force, thermo stability, chemical compatibility and radiation-resistant. During the whole transformer's operation, some properties of its insulation system based on the product of NOMEX, such as electrical property, mechanical property, aging resistance, shrink resisting, avulsion resistance, wear-resistance, compress resistance, strong elastic force, and so on, can be kept, therefore even after transformer runs for several years, its compact structure and resistance to short circuit still can be ensured. If it is placed under 220℃ continuously，its state can be kept for more than ten years.
